These Signs Say That You Should Stay Together In Your LDR

When you are in an LDR (long-distance relationship), things don’t always come easy even though your love for your partner is present. For example, there may be times when you don’t see eye to eye, and then you go on radio silence for a few days. It happens. With all of the challenges that you face, how will you know if the relationship has already reached its limit. How will you know if you should stay together or just go your separate ways?

Reasons Why You Should Stay Together Despite The Challenges

In every long-distance relationship, it’s always a plus to have a plan. If you don’t have any and aren’t planning on making some, it’s a bad sign. Think about it, where is your relationship headed when you don’t have a goal that you are reaching for together as a couple? If you have a concrete plan in place, then it’s a good start. Here are other good signs that you can watch out for:

1. You’ve been apart before and have survived.

If a couple has handled being apart already, it betters their chance at surviving another separation. For example, one person in the relationship has to visit different countries for work. The chances of the relationship surviving are great because the couple already knows what to do.

2. Distance is temporary.

Our previous example of one person in the relationship jumping from one country to the next applies to this item too. The other person knows that his or her partner will eventually come home. On the other hand, if you are an LDR couple and are planning to move to another country together after 5 years of being one your own, that will work too.

3. You are serious about the relationship.

If you do not want to let go and are willing to go the extra mile to make things work, then it is worth it to power through all of the challenges and arguments. Your partner has to feel the same way for you to stay together and work things out.

If you have not spotted any of the signs in your relationship, you still have time to make things better. But, if you have communicated or talked about all of the plans mentioned, it’s really the biggest go-signal to stay together despite the challenges.
