We all want our relationship to be the lasting kind. However, we’re not always so fortunate in love. Sometimes, circumstances are just not right. Whenever you see a couple, you can probably make a good guess with regards to whether they will end up together or not. We base these guesses on how they treat each other or how they work together. In a general sense, we can also identify a long-lasting love in the same way. Try to look for the following:

1. We, Us, Our

You will know that your relationship is lasting when you and your partner use pronouns that refer to you as a team. For example, a couple may say, “We usually go down to the market on the weekends” versus “I usually go down to the market on the weekends.” Including your partner in whatever you do means that you consider yourselves as a pair.

2. Expansive

When you talk to your friends about how you became a couple, how do you go about it? Do you go about it happily, recalling every single detail? Or do you do it in a way that feels more like a chore? The first means is a good sign, of course. The second means could indicate that both you and your partner are tired of the relationship you’re in.

3. Glorifying The Struggle

Every couple has a struggle. When you hear them talk about as if overcoming their obstacle is some kind of trophy or achievement, it’s a good sign. It means that the couple recognizes that they have come a long way, but they are happy that they have made it despite the hardships.
