When we talk about how to make one’s self more attractive, we come up with the most obvious answers. For example, going to the gym, taking care of the skin, getting some new clothes and so on. In reality, these outward changes can help, but there’s a hidden criterion that increases attractiveness in men that many fail to see.
Creativity Increases Attractiveness In Men Of All Ages
Yes, creativity is the secret criterion. Do you know why men who are not as attractive on the outside are funnier, wittier, or smarter? Instinctively, they have to be and science can back it up.
The research was done by Christopher Watkins, a psychologist at Abertay University in Scotland. He recruited a batch of volunteers who needed to look at pictures of men and women, and then rate them according to physical looks.
He then showed the photos to another group of volunteers, but this time, he provided clues about the person’s creativity through a series of tests answers by the persons on the photos.
Proof That Creativity Increases Attractiveness In Men Only
The results were surprising as men who weren’t as good looking as the others ranked just as attractive. Their attractiveness rating was almost identical. Unfortunately, not the same can be said for women because the attractiveness rating was a bit low for creative females.
What Does This Teach Us?
Basically, the result of the study teaches us one very important dating lesson: we don’t need to be attractive physically to get all the girls. If you feel like you aren’t good-looking enough, don’t worry about it because you will get by or even thrive when you work on yourself first.
Start reading books, and expanding your knowledge, as well as your people skills. If you can sneak in time to go to the gym, why not? The important thing is that you need to remember that appearance isn’t everything.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, remember this, cliche-sounding as it may. For more tips and updates on dating, make sure to read more from our blog.
