The study was done through performing various experiments on 1800 participants. They were instructed to either interact with another person or presented with an interaction between two people. When the results came in, it showed that the participants who merely listened without observing gestures and facial expressions were, on average, more accurate in identifying the emotions expressed by others.

Now that we know this piece of knowledge, it’s important to apply it to our relationships, whether it is romantic or not. Some of the people we have in our lives don’t exactly share what they are feeling because of different reasons.
